Special Guests

    IRL Driver, Donnie Beechler, stopped by and spoke to the Sangamon County Rescue Squad about race car safety and the different devices used to keep the driver safe while in the race car. We would like to thank Donnie for taking time out of his busy schedule to talk to us about safety from the drivers point of view. The Sangamon County Rescue Squad will be providing the rescue and safety crew for the USAC and ARCA sanctioned events during the Illinois State Fair.

Livingston Motorsports

John Livingston of Livingston Motorsports, brought out a modified dirt car for the Rescue Squad to overlook before the Fall Nationals. The Rescue Squad tries to stay on top of any new development in the race car's structure as well as changing technology.  Pictured above are John Livingston and Robert (Woody) Woods. The Sangamon County Rescue Squad would like to thank Livingston Motorsports for bringing their race car out and keeping the Rescue Squad informed of any new safety items installed on the race cars.

Air Evac

    Air Evac stopped by for training. They showed us their helicopter and explained some of the procedures for using them in an emergency.
