Phoenix is certified in Basic Area and Advanced Area S.A.R and has the Canine Good Citizen and Obedient Dog Achievement Awards.
Phoenix takes part in searches of both, live finds or cadaver finds as well as evidence recovery. Phoenix loves to play ball, chew and play with her littermate, Athena and most of the other dogs at our house. She loves to be petted and loved. Her favorite television show is “COPS.” She is very dedicated to her work and when the tone goes off, she is ready to go. Phoenix lives with a 8 other dogs, assorted cats and birds.
Phoenix made a live find 8/14/04, in Loami Illinois, with the assistance of her handler, Deb Russell and helper Ted Berger. When interviewed she stated that to save just one person is what she has worked towards all these years and that none of this could have been accomplished without the support of the whole Team.
